Neighbours at War (Neighbors at War) is my second book set during the Occupation in Jersey, Channel Islands (think The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society) and is inspired by the story of a young, pregnant woman who runs away from her family in London’s East End to stay with her aunt in Jersey weeks before the Nazis invade the island.
