1976 Ambitious 18-year-old actress, Mo and her flatmate, Hazel defend themselves from a vicious man familiar to them both.

In 2003, Mo’s daughter Sera is grieving the death of her husband and returns to France with her five-year-old daughter, Katie to build a new life for them both. Sera is haunted by the loss of her childhood best friend Dee, when she, her mother Mo, and brother, Leo disappeared from the next-door farm one hot August night in 1989.
